qi gong for longevity and nu zi gong method
Qi Gong (also known as Qigong or Chi Kung) is an ancient Chinese practice that combines movement, meditation, and breath control. The word “Qi” (or “Chi”) refers to the vital energy that flows through the body, and “Gong” means work or skill. Therefore, Qi Gong can be translated as “the work of vital energy” or “cultivating vital energy.”**
Components of Qi Gong
- Movement: Includes a series of gentle postures and movements designed to improve the flow of energy throughout the body.
- Breathing: Controlled breathing is fundamental in Qi Gong. It is used to increase the flow of Qi and to calm the mind.
- Meditation: Meditation is often included to center the mind and enhance body awareness.
Benefits of Qi Gong
– Physical Health: Improves circulation, flexibility, and strength. It has also been shown to help with chronic conditions such as hypertension, arthritis, and respiratory issues.
– Mental Health: Reduces stress, anxiety, and improves emotional well-being.
– Spiritual Development: In the context of Taoism and other Chinese spiritual traditions, Qi Gong is also practiced to cultivate spiritual energy and achieve a greater understanding of oneself and the universe.
The Nu Zi Gong Method of Qi Gong (Chi Kung)
Nu Zi Gong is an internal martial art. Unlike other practices, it is exclusively designed for women, taking into account their physical and energetic anatomy. It nourishes and balances female blood and energy so that women can live fully and naturally through all stages of life, from menarche to menopause.
Women’s Qi Gong encompasses a series of exercises that follow the anatomy, physiology, and psychology specific to women to optimize energy resources at each stage, facilitate the transition from one cycle to another, and ultimately balance the energetic biodynamics in harmony with nature.
Its movements are gentle, generating undulations in the hips and spine, which is why it is especially indicated for women with endometriosis, ovarian cysts, uterine fibroids, painful bleeding, irregular menstruation, menopause transition, and any hormonal/gynecological imbalance.
Currently, I conduct online and in-person classes in Maui, Hawaii.
